SAND, Justice.

This appeal arises from an order of the juvenile court of Stutsman County terminating the parental rights of the mother of Baby K.

The mother, RJB, was 25 years old and unmarried at Baby K’s birth on August 12, 1975. RJB had been a patient at the North Dakota State Hospital at Jamestown for treatment of drug addiction from April until June 1975, when she returned briefly to her parents’ home in Mandan.
