An equitable petition was filed by E. E. Bass and a large number of other petitioners against the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Milledgeville, Thigpen, the city marshal, and the MacDougald Construction Company, a corporation of Eulton County. The petitioners alleged that their property was about to be levied upon under executions issued by the clerk and treasurer of the city, by virtue of an act amending the charter of the city (Ga. L. 1925, pp. 1199 et seq.), to enforce payment of installments on sundry so-called bonds, none of which are now held or owned by the…
