| Appellant Scott Blake appeals from the circuit court’s denial of his motion for new trial. Appellant initially appealed the denial to the court of appeals, which affirmed, Blake v. Shellstrom, 2012 Ark. App. 28, 388 S.W.3d 57, reh’g denied (Feb. 12, 2012), and this court granted his petition for review.
