EDWARDS, Judge.
Defendant, John J. Bailey, was convicted of driving while intoxicated, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:98. He received a 90 day suspended sentence and was placed on active probation for two years with the condition that he pay a fine of $250 plus costs. Defendant was also convicted of failure to maintain control in violation of LSA-R.S. 32:58, and was sentenced to pay $100 plus costs, in default of which he will be required to serve 20 days in the parish jail.1 We granted this writ to determine whether the trial court committed reversible error by allowing the state to establish…
