An information filed in the Circuit Court of Charles Mix County, November 25, 1957, charged the defendant with the crime of escape from prison. The defendían! was also Charged with having been previously convicted on specific dates in 'the Circuit Court ,of Charles Mix County, South Dakota, with three named felonies. Defendant represented by counsel appeared before the court on December 2, 1957, and the transcript of the record upon arraignment shows the following:
