WILKINS. District Judge.

A special verdict was rendered in this case, finding that the George Johnston, mentioned in the declaration, was married to the plaintiff in the year 1810; that about that time they resided on the premises in question; that the husband was seized of the same on the 24th of Sept, 1816, and from that time continued so seized until the 28th of Oct., 1816, when he sold, and conveyed the same to one Stephen Mack, and that the defendant now owns and holds the same by mesne conveyances from said Mack.
