This was an action on the case, brought by the President and Trustees of the Village of Oswego against the Oswego Canal Company, to recover damages for the obstruction of Seneca and Cayuga streets, in the said village, by the construction of the defendants’ canal across the same, without bridges; and to recover the expenses incurred by the village in building bridges across the said canal, and keeping them in repair, after a refusal of the defendants to do…
