After trial by jury defendant, Jerry Kavinsky, was convicted of armed violence (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 38, par. 33A — 2), forcible detention (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 38, par. 10 — 4) and attempt escape (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 38, par. 8 — 4.) He was thereafter sentenced to imprisonment for concurrent terms of 15, 7 and 5 years for the respective offenses.
