Appellees are stock buyers and shippers in the town of Hartford in this state. On Monday, the 18th day of August, 1924, appellees loaded in stock cars of the appellant at said town, two carloads of cattle, to be shipped to the Chicago market. At the same time, they signed a release or extension of time, extending the time within which the cattle could be kept in the cars without unloading, to -36 hours. These cars were started on their way, and reached the town of Silvis in Illinois at 4:10 P. M. on the 19th day of August, having been confined in the cars 24 hours continuously. (Appellees…
