Within the square embraced by Market Street, upon the north; Jefferson Street upon the south; Fifth Street ■upon the east; and Sixth Street upon the west, in the city of Louisville, is a short, narrow, public way, known as Court Place. Upon the south side of this square and bordering upon Jefferson Street, is situated the lot upon which stands the main building of the Jefferson county court house.
