H. F. Guthrie, prior to and at the time of his death in April, 1891, was a citizen and resident of Jefferson County, Kentucky. He owned and possessed at the time of his death property of the value of at least one-half million dollars. On the 19th day of July, 1888, he executed his will, which was duly probated following his death. By it he created a trust embracing practically all of his property and make his son-in-law, John Marshall, trustee, without bond and without requiring an inventory.
