OPINION

HARBISON, Justice.

Appellant was convicted of murder in the first degree and sentenced to death by electrocution. After consideration of the briefs and argument of counsel and the entire record, we affirm the judgment.

On May 27, 1982, appellant shot William Mark Lockridge, proprietor of a tavern known as the Third Street Inn in Columbia, *943Tennessee. Mr. Lockridge, who was forty-two years of age, died a week later at Vanderbilt Hospital.
