The defendant, Pedro Heredia, Jr., was arrested on February 24, 1975, and charged with arson in the third degree in violation of subdivision 1 of section 150.10 of the Penal Law of the State of New York. The crime was alleged to have been committed on December 31, 1974. The defendant was arraigned pursuant to a felony complaint on February 24, 1975, in First District Court of the County of Suffolk.
