At a combined Mapp/Huntley/Dunaway hearing held prior to trial, Police Officer Brendan Regan testified that on April 17, 1998, he was on duty with his partner, when he observed de*591fendant, who was driving a 1992 Mazda, change lanes without signaling and make an “erratic,” “short-cut” left turn. Officer Regan pulled defendant over. Both defendant and his passenger, codefendant Calvin Langhorn, rolled down their windows.
