Andres Luis Rodriguez-Nova was tried by a Gwinnett County jury and convicted of murder and false imprisonment, both in connection with the death of his girlfriend, Elba Mejia-Mesa. Rodriguez-Nova appeals, contending that the trial court erred with respect to both an evidentiary ruling and its instructions to the jury. He also contends that he was denied the effective assistance of counsel. Upon our review of the record and briefs, we see no error, and we affirm.
