Appellant, Robert Deon Johnson, Jr., pleaded guilty to the second-degree felony offense of aggravated assault of a family member and to the third-degree felony offense of injury to a child. 1 The trial court placed appellant on deferred-adjudication community supervision for eight years for both offenses. The State subsequently moved to adjudicate guilt, and appellant stipulated to the truth of the allegations in the motion to adjudicate guilt.
