INTRODUCTION This court previously held that the Estate of Hattie Maiorano (the “Estate”)1 violated the discharge injunction when it sought a state court order recognizing and enforcing a settlement. The court now determines that the Estate should be sanctioned in the amount of $1,000, not the outrageous $28,448 requested by the debtor and/or his counsel. II.
