The plaintiff company brought this action of assumpsit against the defendant company in the Superior Court of Cook county, to recover the amount of a loss, basing its claim on an alleged reinsurance contract. By the prcecipe filed, the plaintiff directed that summons be directed to the sheriff of Peoria county, for execution. That was done and the summons was duly returned by the sheriff of Peoria county, as executed on the defendant “by leaving a true and correct copy thereof with William E.
