LAY, Circuit Judge:

Shirley Vertigan appeals the district court’s affirmance of a final decision of the Commissioner of Social Security (“Commissioner”) denying her disability insurance benefits under Title II of the Social Security Act (“Act”), 42 U.S.C. § 401-33. On appeal, Ms. Vertigan contends that there was no substantial evidence on the record as a whole to support the Administrative Law Judge’s (“ALJ”) conclusion that she had the residual functional capacity to perform her past relevant work.
