Plaintiff, a 32-year-old woman, sued the defendant for injuries received when struck by defendant’s truck as she walked across State Boute 159 north of Belle-ville, Illinois, in the late afternoon of February 7,1952. The circuit court of St. Clair county entered judgment for the plaintiff on the jury’s verdict, denying defendant’s motion for a directed verdict, for judgment notwithstanding the verdict and for a new trial.
