This is an action brought by a pupil of a public school conducted by the city of New Haven for damages resulting from an injury sustained in falling on an inside stairway of the school building. The complaint alleges various acts of negligence on the part of the defendant city. There is no claim of nuisance. Upon the facts stated in the complaint there was no liability on the part of the city of New Haven, but it did not claim immunity upon the ground that it was engaged in a governmental duty.
