The defendant is charged with murdering his girlfriend Julaine Jules. She disappeared on August 24, 2004; her body was discovered in the Charles River almost a month later. Because of the location of her body, Jules’s death was originally investigated by the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office. In the course of that investigation, prosecutors obtained certain cell phone information regarding the defendant’s location around the time of his girlfriend’s disappearance.
