|;On November 14, 2013, the State charged Defendant, Asa N. Bentley, by bill of indictment with one count of second degree kidnapping of Jessica Guillot on or about September 9, 2013, in violation of La.R.S. 14:44.1. The State’s indictment relied on the theory that the victim was “forcibly seized and carried] ... from one place to another wherein [the victim] was physically injured.” Defendant was arraigned and pled not guilty on December 10, 2013.
