This is an appeal by an employee of the respondent from a decree of the superior court denying and dismissing a petition for compensation under the workmen’s compensation act, general laws 1938, chapter'300.

The evidence is undisputed and shows, among other things, the following material facts: Petitioner was seventeen years old when he was injured on February 22, 1945. At about 1 a. m. on that day he was sent to drill some holes in the steel and painted walls of the mast house of a combat cargo boat.
