Background
{¶ 1} In August 2011, defendant-appellee, Jordan Beverly, was convicted of various counts of receiving stolen property, burglary, and other felonies. These convictions are not at issue in this case. Beverly was also found guilty of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity. R.C. 2923.32(A)(1). The pattern involved Beverly and Brandon Imber stealing or receiving stolen vehicles outside of Clark County.
