This appeal arises from a lawsuit brought by the plaintiff Leo Koelzer, a Broward County resident, against Early Auction Company, an Ohio auction house, for negligently representing that a lamp which the plaintiff bid on and purchased was an authentic Tiffany Studios lamp. The auction was held in Kentucky, but the plaintiff bid telephonically from his Florida home through an Early Auction employee and won the bid on the lamp.
