Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Schoharie County (Lamont, J.), rendered July 7, 1993, upon a verdict convicting defendant of the crimes of murder in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a child.

Defendant’s convictions for murder in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a child resulted from the June 16, 1992 death by suffocation of the four-month-old son of defendant’s live-in girlfriend.
