It is insisted that the contract under which the labor was performed and material furnished for which the lien is sought to be established in this ease, was not made with the owner of the land, “and so no lien can exist in favor of the contractors.” The first section of the act gives a lien to any person who shall, “by contract with the owner of any lot or piece of land, furnish labor or material,” etc. The second section provides that such lien “shall extend to an estate in fee, for life, for years, or any other estate, or any right of redemption or other interest which the owner may have in…
