TERRY JENNINGS, Justice.

A jury found appellant, Peter Paul Ho-byl, guilty of the offense of evading arrest and detention while using a vehicle, 1 which is a state jail felony, 2 and assessed his punishment at confinement for 270 days and a fine of $2,000.
