Plaintiff Franklin D. Snyder is a beneficiary and participant in a retiree medical benefit plan administered by Defendant Federal-Mogul Corporation. Snyder alleges that Federal-Mogul violated his rights under the Employee Retirement Security Act of 1974, 29 U.S.C. § 1001 et seq. (“ERISA”) when Federal-Mogul unilaterally modified his medical benefits.
