This case comes up on a motion for a new trial, and the verdict is assailed upon several grounds: the first of which is, that it is contrary to the evidence. To authorize a new trial upon this ground of objection, the verdict must have been against the weight of evidence: so much so that on the first blush of it, it should shock our sense of j ustice and right.
