Gulf Air, Inc. (“Debtor”) filed a Chapter 11 petition on December 8, 1989 when it was unable to meet its payroll. This charter air carrier has approximately 550 employees including staff personnel, maintenance personnel, pilots, flight engineers, and flight attendants. These employees are located at various points in the United States including New Iberia, New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and Philadelphia.
