ELLETT, Justice:

This case comes before this court as an appeal from a conviction in the Third Judicial District Court for burglary and theft, second- and third-degree felonies, respectively.

On May 15, 1975, a television, stereo, and antique scale were stolen from a home during the day while the owners were away. Two eyewitnesses observed two men load the stereo equipment in a van and drive away. Both witnesses identified the defendant from a selection of police “mug shot” photographs.
