Plaintiff, Edward A. Geick, filed a four-count complaint in the circuit court of Lake County against defendants, James W. Kay, as president of the board of trustees of the Village of Lake Zurich and individually, and the board of trustees of the Village of Lake Zurich (Board). The complaint sought damages for libel per se, libel per quod, invasion of privacy, and intentional interference with prospective economic advantage.
