This is an appeal from a judgment of the county court of Cook county, entered against the property of appellant on the application of the county collector, for á delinquent installment of a special assessment levied by the city of Chicago for laying an asphalt street pavement on West Harrison street, in said city.

The first of the written objections filed below is, that the petition by the city in the special assessment proceeding is defective, in that it does not recite an ordinance for the proposed improvement, and it is insisted the court below erred in not sustaining it. It appears from an…
