Plaintiff Alice Richardson, an African-American, has brought this lawsuit claiming that defendant Lamar County Board of Education 1 wrongfully refused to renew her teaching contract in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended. 2 Richardson charges the school board with two types of discrimination under Title VII.
