This is an action instituted by the plaintiff, The American Ship Building Company (AmShip), against the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers and Helpers of America (AFL-CIO), Local Union No. 358, and individual officers and members thereof (hereinafter collectively the Union) pursuant to § 301 of the Labor Management Relations Act of 1947, as amended, 29 U.S.C. § 185.
