Royal Links USA (Royal Links), an advertising company, structured a deal that was too good to be true. It promised defendant Outlook Farm Golf Club, LLC, d/b/a The Links at Outlook Golf Course (Outlook) that the course could obtain a beverage cart for “net-zero” by leasing the cart for the same amount that Royal Links would pay to the course for the opportunity to place advertising on the cart. Leasing company C and J Leasing Corp. (C & J) 1 purchased the carts from Royal Links for $12,500 each and Outlook agreed to pay C & J a total of $18,840, in monthly payments, for each…
